How Do I Connect My Ampplifier To My Car?

INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION From communication to education

We have previously highlighted the importance of pursuing a cross-cultural communication that is face-to-face with others different from us.
But this implies the need to rethink an educational model that has the tools to confront and solve the problems of man acting in a globalized society.
The response of education, which appear to meet these needs dictated by a growing multiculturalism, intercultural awareness is understood as the rediscovery of the relationship of otherness and identity-alterity through education and dialogue difference when the attempt to remove the fear of the alien from the hearts of citizens of the world and the establishment of an urgent and difficult integration.

Having said that we go down the specific ..

What is intercultural education or simply educating interculturalism?

It means education and RELATIONAL DYNAMICS.

The first term refers to an approach dynamic school that is able to move on a path that includes not only the transmission of knowledge, knowledge of other cultures and their customs and values, but also the depth analysis of the complexity, diversity and relationship-I you placed in this context, according to a continuous revision and a model of education and custom tailor made for each student, in the name of diversity and respect for it.

The second is, instead, the interchange between students, dialogue and cooperation in group tasks, aimed not only to promote the respect of others, but also the awareness that working together we can achieve common goals with a greater profit, regardless of race, language or culture.

Dynamism and relationships are essential, then, for an appropriate educational activity aimed at the formation of the citizen in its entirety.

So what is the aim of intercultural education?

"The educational activity has not only intended to address and remove barriers and misunderstandings due to language differences, cultural, but also to promote the implementation of educational and human potential of each "
(F. Gobbo, Intercultural Education. The education project in complex societies, Carocci. Rome, 2000, p. 90)

An education in this sense can ...

"help ensure that individuals differing in their linguistic roots, religious and ethnic backgrounds can live together without conflict within the same company, so as to safeguard the pluralism of cultures"
(S. Ulivieri, education and marginal. History, theory, place and type of exclusion, New Italy, Florence, 1997, p. 319.)
